You've heard about it... but what is LATE NITE HP^sm? It's your weekend destination where business stay open late for food and fun every Friday and Saturday night!

Bored on a Friday or Saturday night? Not quite ready to call it a night at 8 pm? Then head over to Highland Park! Thanks to LATE NITE HP^sm, an exciting community initiative, you don't have to drive far to find something to do after a movie, game or show every Friday or Saturday night... year-round!

Some 20 restaurants are staying open until 11 pm or later every weekend in Highland Park. When other communities have turned off their lights for the night, local residents and visitors come to Highland Park to meet friends, enjoy a meal or grab a late night snack, cup of coffee, ice cream or frozen yogurt, get a late night hair cut, paint pottery, or find a new, good book to read.

And at LATE NITE HP^sm, you can listen to a fabulous jazz combo, guitarist, vocalist, violinist, rock band, or other entertainers who regularly perform at participating venues in Highland Park. Adults and teens, amateurs and professionals, locals and performers from afar have all provided impressive performances since the kick-off of LATE NITE HP^sm over a year ago.

LATE NITE HP^sm is a collaborative effort involving the Highland Park City Council, business and property owners, Highland Park High School faculty and students, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, the Park District of Highland Park, and community volunteers.

So, if you haven't already, check out LATE NITE HP^sm! Wander into a coffee shop, ice cream parlor, or book store; make your own pottery; indulge yourself with a juicy hamburger, pancakes, pasta and ethnic fare; or even get a haircut on a Friday or Saturday night.
