LATE NITE HP PERFORMERS
Will Jacobs & the Back Alley Blues Band are influenced by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, and Jimi Hendrix, but their sound and songs are unique. The band plays in and around Chicagoland and Will Jacobs, a noted blues musician in the Chicagoland area, has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Louis Zagoras, Two For The Blues, Little Ed & Blues The Imperials, Chris Forte, and Sammy Fender. The band was formed when Will Jacobs and Brandon Waldon began jamming along to Hendrix and Stevie Ray in Brandon's apartment. They continued to jam together regularly throughout 2007. The following year, Will and Brandon began practicing in Will's basement and found a kindred spirit in bass player Mike Zabrin. The trio had instant chemistry and began recording sessions soon after Zabrin joined. Come on out and listen to a great blues rock band! Covers include the Allman Brothers, The Commodores, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, and many more! Will is a member of the New Trier High School Concert Jazz Ensemble and has shared the stage along blues acts like Louis Zagoras, Two For The Blues, Little Ed & The Imperials, Chris Forte and Sammy Fender. Brandon is also a member of New Trier High School Concert Jazz and in addition to playing blues with Will and Mike is most notably an active member of local death metal band Calvarium, an electronic music producer, songwriter, and sit-in instrumentalist. Mike is a member of the Niles North Jazz Ensemble and Niles North Vocal Jazz. Outside of the group, Mike is the bassist of classic rock band The Warning Label. |
