Jim Jacobs Trio

At 6, Jim started trumpet by observing his older sister's group lessons. He led his first band as a Cub Scout project. His first gig as a "ringer" in a local junior high's band was paid in pizza. Not much has changed. At 12, Jim discovered his passion with the Highland Park Pops where he can still be heard over 30 years later. Jim performed at Lincoln Center, The Montreux Jazz Festival and toured Europe with Jazz Abroad. After graduating with honors from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jim did studio work, performed at churches, and in bands and pit orchestras in and around Chicago
