The harmonious singing and songwriting of Quinn Carson and Matt Alderman make up the acoustic pop group Maq.

Friends from high school, the two of them coincidentally relocated to the Chicago area in January '08 and Maq was formed.

Though primarily a songwriting acoustic duo, Maq often performs as a four-piece band with the addition of the acclaimed rhythm section Dan Carson and Neil Carson.The two song demo Changin’ gears is finished, and listeners are often struck by performances nearly identical to the recording quality. With a six song album/EP soon to come, Maq is rushing the Chicago music scene with talent, energy, and passion.
