Sue Coale and Bill Mort have been playing old time music together for fourteen years. They play a blend of square dance music, Irish jigs and reels, old time fiddle tunes, old country dance music and contemporary works by current performers done in an old time vein.
Sue plays mandolin and guitar and Bill plays mandolin, guitar, octave mandolin and tin whistle.They play music with friends from southwest Wisconsin at art fairs, music fests, apple fests, square dances and many other venues as The Rivers Ramblers.
Bill also plays with an old time string band from eastern Iowa, The Rock Creek Ramblers.
