Steve Maxwell Steve Maxwell has been playing guitar since he was 6 years old. He loves and plays Classic Rock. Steve has been in many bands in the Chicago and Central Florida areas playing all kinds of venues, large and small. He was the lead guitarist and lead vocalist for several former bands including Lyx, White Midnight, Mirage, Alicia, The Steam, and The Synergistics. Steve has a full band sound, but now it's him and his electric guitar. Steve's computer plays up to 23 instruments along with him without making mistakes! It also controls Steve's guitar volume and tone changing it very quickly mid-song. One of the songs that Steve plays is Hotel California by the Eagles. He plays pieces of 3 different guitar parts switching between them throughout the song. It sounds incredible! One of the most important features of Steve's show is that he is never too loud. He hates going into clubs and concerts and coming out with ringing ears. Steve's music is always at a proper volume so people can still have a conversation while enjoying a live show. Listen carefully too, because Steve likes to change the lyrics to make things funny as he plays. You might have seen Steve at such places as The Goose Island Brewery in Wrigleyville, CJ Arthur's in Wilmette or The Ravinia BBQ and Grill in Highland Park.
